Outer Layer of Thought – Thoughts Becomes Things
The outer layer are the thoughts that create our future. This is where we use the idea that our thoughts become things. By using the power of this level of thought we can truly create a reality that reflects our dreams and heart felt desires. Of course we add action, visualization and more action, but it is at this level of thought that we begin the creative process.
Middle Layer of Thought – How We Respond Matters
The middle layer includes thoughts we have in response to life events. This is where we understand that it is not what happens to us but the way we respond that’s important. I used to think that my happiness was tied to my capacity to cope and if I could learn ways to ‘cope better’ then I would feel a great sense of self worth and peace of mind.

Inner Layer of Thought – Self-Perception
The thoughts we have at this layer of thoughts come from our perception of ourselves and it is the lens that we choose to perceive ourselves that will determine our happiness or our despair.
If we choose a self critical lens then we will hear a running commentary of thoughts that go something like “I should not still be grieving, he’s been dead now for three years.” or “I can’t believe that I didn’t handle that meeting very well.”
If we choose a lens that is compassionate toward ourselves then we will more likely to have thoughts such as “I did the best I could at the time based on what I knew and my best was good enough.” And that kinda feels a whole lot nicer doesn’t it?
I am grateful to the souls for the wisdom they shared with me. I now understand that we can nurture ourselves when we perceive ourselves through a compassionate lens. To live this way is easy and it is a matter of taking 3 simple steps.
Step 1 Become aware – Begin to notice the thoughts that are self critical about the way you are coping or not coping like, “I should not be feeling sad/angry/upset about (insert situation here).” Open your journal and for each thought that is self critical, identify and write down a more compassionate way to view your response to the situation. “I should not have been angry at the kids,” could be replaced with, “Feeling frustrated is normal when you are a parent and all parents feel angry sometimes.”

Once you’ve done this exercise a few times on paper then you will find it easier to use this new way of identifying and changing your thoughts.
Step 2 Appreciate your innocence – When faced with a situation that you did not feel you handled well, ask yourself one simple question: Based on what I know so far is there any way that my response to the situation is understandable? The answer is always ‘yes’ because we will always take action based on the knowledge and resources we have available to us at the time.
Step 3 Nurture your self-perception with compassion – Using the power of visualization, find a quiet place and create an image in your mind of the three layers of thought. Use an example of a situation where you are criticizing yourself. See the three layers of your thoughts and as you focus upon the layer of thought that is closest to you – the thoughts that relate to your perception of yourself in this situation – notice the thoughts are resting on a bed of compassion, understanding and kindness.
Notice that the only thoughts that exist here are gentle and full of understanding about yourself and your life circumstances. If you see a thought that is critical, notice it and visualize another compassionate thought sitting along side it. Over time the compassionate thoughts will grow stronger. Repeat this for 5 minutes each day for 30 days and you will begin to notice the difference.

Use Yogic Breathing To Calm Down In 6 Seconds
I was trained by the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta in India, where my teachers told me that the secret in pranayama was in the exhalation, not the inhalation. To calm down when we're flustered or angry, most therapists teach us to use our breathing. Everyone thinks that the secret is in the inhalation. The more I can inhale and fill my lung, the more calm I am, right?
Scientists led by Heather Mason of University of Roehampton (UK) have suggested that equal periods of inhalation and exhalation be used by yoga newbies to gain maximum stimulation of the vagus nerve.
The vagus nerve, located in our brain, is in charge of our parasympathetic nervous system — it decreases our heart rate and blood pressure by deactivating the human’s “fight or flight” mechanisms, including anxiety.
When you stimulate your vagus nerve through breathing, you gain control over your raging heart rate and rising blood pressure. As they decrease, so does your activation in the anger and anxiety departments.
You will hear this time and again from all yoga instructors: “To gain control of the body, learn to control your breath.” Breathing management helps to balance us on a physical level as we execute our asanas (postures), mental level as our buttons get pressed at the workplace, and emotional level to regulate our thoughts and feelings.
So how long should we inhale and exhale to gain the maximum benefit? For newbies, it was measured to be five seconds minimum for the vagus nerve to be stimulated.
Feeling your blood boil? Take a deep breath and exhale to the count of six. Repeat.
Feeling that your body is unsteady in an asana? Take a gentle and deep breath and exhale to the count of six. Repeat.
What if you're not a yogi newbie? Then try slowing your breathing down even more. The average person takes 12 breaths a minute. Respiratory research suggests taking 5 to 6 breaths a minute instead.

How To: Change Your Karma
We hear people talking about having good or bad Karma all the time but what really is Karma? Does it affect my soul? How can I change my Karma?
First things first, What is Karma?
kar·ma noun (in Hinduism and Buddhism) the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences.
informal destiny or fate, following as effect from cause.
Karma is attached to our EGO. That means that Karma is only something we deal with in the lower levels of consciousness. The higher levels all the way back to source and creation are not limited by the rules of Karma.
When we are in a deep state of meditation you can access these higher levels of consciousness and change your Karma if you wanted to. Often though when we see the grand picture of our lives we actually find that we don’t want to change it because we recognize the value of experience and cleaning up our own vibrational mistakes.
How can we change it from our current state of consciousness?
There are two main ways to change our Karma here on earth. One is through genuine love energy meditations and the other is through consistent good actions.
1. Love Meditation
karmaWhen you are in meditation focus on sending love to everyone and everything in existence. This Love has to come from a genuine space of giving with no thought of receiving. On the highest soul levels there is no difference between you and everything else so you are actually never going without.
2. Good Actions
With a deep genuine spirit of giving you can make a lot of powerful waves for your life and the lives of those around you. As long as we are always giving with the intent of loving others then when it ripples back to us we will receive genuine love.

Imagine how it feels to receive a gift with an expectation to give something else back. It almost feels like a hook or an obligation. Wouldn’t you rather receive pure love? That is why we must always give with a loving intent.

Meditation Technique For Developing Psychic Skills
The Chakras: Much is said and taught about the chakras and secondary energy centers. Learn all you can about energy in the body, and outside the body. learn all you can about the aura, and how the chakras relate to it.
You must be able to identify and FEEL each chakra for this exercise.
For the first five minutes Relax yourself. Depply relax and put your full, deep trust in the holiness of Spirit. I suggest praying to Spirit for guidance and PROTECTION, before you begin any spiritual work or exercise. BELIEVE, if you do not know, that only good spirits are around you, loving you and protecting you. Thank them and open yourself to them for their assistance, BY UPLIFTING YOUR SPIRIT TO THEM. It is said that if you uplift yourself ten feet, they’ll come down twenty feet to guide you.
Eight-fold Breath: Breathe in for the count of eight. Hold for the count of four. Exhale for the count of eight. Hold for the count of four. You may also begin the breathing with several large full breaths, all the way to the lower abdominal area. Then continue with the eight/four/eight/four breathing. This is very relaxing, and trance inducing. It also begins to bring you a regulated pattern of energy for the work ahead. Continue the breathing throughout the meditation. And don’t worry if you forget it for a time. Just pick it up again and be relaxed about the whole process. This breathing can be extended LATER ON for other types of mediumship. But for now, just do it as explained.
Beginning at the Crown chakra. [This is the opposite from what most of you are being taught. Drawing energy upward is what is usually done. But I am showing you, simply, what I learned. Although the other way is certainly worthy of experimentation.] So, beginning with the crown chakra, feel it opening up and becoming charged with light and energy by focusing and intending energy to move into it. Move to the third-eye chakra. Open/intend/charge this. Throat chakra, the same. Heart chakra, the same. And on down the chakras until all are open and charged up. If one is stuck, or wont cooperate, stay on it, breathing in and out and focusing the incoming, good energy into that chakra. Give the same amount of energy to each one, for this exercise.
Turn your attention to the place of visions, the third eye: When the chakras are all open, and you are continuing to breathe as stated, it is time to look within. Find the place inside your mind where you see pictures, where you day-dreAm. [If you have never seen an internalized picture, this is a good time to begin. However, if I say, "apple!" How do you know what an apple looks like? Describe it to yourself. See the apple as you describe it to yourself. Where you see this picture inside your mind, is the place I am referring to.] For the next FIVE MINUTES, quiet your thinking, and just practice observing whatever may arise in this space. Do not give it any credence, do not judge what you see. In fact be as non-judgemental as youpossibly can be. Make no decisions based on what comes. Do not get caught in a prolonged image, let it go. Do not indulge yourself in fear, or panic about something which may seem awful . . . just bless it and send it on its way! Try to recall that you have protected yourself and that you are loved.
CLOSE DOWN for the next five minutes. Continue the breathing. Go back down the chakras, as before, diminishing the energy, dimming the light, so to speak, and envisioning that you are CLOSING EACH SPIRITUAL DOOR as you do so. Do each of the chakras in this way, until whatever is open is closed, envisioned as sealed. No spirit activity is permitted from this point on. Reject it. Let spirit information come to you only when you desire it, or want it, or permit it. Learn to condition yourself to not accept any information coming from spirits unless you give it your okay. Once the spiritual doors are closed, that means just that, they’re closed.
Hands should be placed palms up on lap if working with spirits is desired. Palms down on thighs, if you are trying to work on dreams, or any inner-work.
This meditation should be done with eyes closed. In the beginning with a dim light on. It could be done in a group setting and is an excellent group meditation practice. For a group setting I recommend a tightly closed room, no light getting in from the outseide. Use a small red light overhead, attached to a dimmer switch, and keep turning the light down as your eyes get used to it. In this setting, meditation can be preacticed with the eyes open.
Be sure to enter and leave these circumstances with a loving heart and mind. One of trust and never foreboding! Pray for protection and guidance and DEVELOPMENT! Give your thanks to the Earth, and to the spirits who would come to you so that you may grow.

FOOD PRESERVATIVES TO AVOID
Sodium Nitrate (this is reportedly the worst one), is used to preserve colour in foods and to flavour meat products - bacon, ham, hot dogs, luncheon meats, smoked fish and corn meat.
BHA & BHT found in cereals, chewing gum, potato chips and vegetable oils.
Prophl Gallate - it is used to prevent fats and oils from spoilage.
Monosodium Glutamate aka MSG - generally found in Asian foods, soups, salad dressings, chips and frozen entrees. MSG can cause headaches and nausea.
Aspartame aka NutraSweet/Equal- a lot of diet foods contain these.
Acesulfame - K - artificial sweetner used in soft drinks, baked goods, chewing gum and gelatin desserts.
Food Colourings - red 3, green 3 and yellow 6 are dangerous. These are known to cause thyroid tumours in rats and have been linked to bladder cancer.
Olestra - can be found in potato chips. It is a synthetic fat that stops fat from absorbing into the digestive system.
Potassium Bromate - it is used to increase the volume in breads. In California, any products containing this ingredient has to have a cancer warning label put on it.

Perform a proper detox once every 2-3 years. This will flush out toxins within the body. A proper detox goes for one month. During that month there is a particular diet that must be followed. Certain vitamin and minerals need to be taken. Cold showers need to be taken everyday during the month too.
A foot detox bath can be performed on a regular basis. Some people do this once a week. There are natural foot patches you can buy too. You can apply these to the feet at night and then take them off in the morning.

HOW TO GET A NATURAL TAN
Do not apply sunscreen or any oils.
Sunbathe in the morning for about half an hour between 7 am and 10.30 am.
Or sunbathe in the afternoon for about half and hour between 2.30 pm on-wards.
The sun is a natural healer and contains vitamin D. Vitamin D is good for bone structure and teeth. It is very important to keep these strong.
Do not go out in the sun between 10.30 am and 2.30 pm.
Go over your whole body at least once a week with a natural loofah while having a shower or a bath. This will remove all dead skin cells.
Your body is your temple. There is only one of you. Be gentle on yourself and love yourself.

Personally, I haven't been to a doctor for a long time. Ty Walking Deer, my partner, hasn't been to a doctor for over thirteen years. Our children have only been to the doctor a few times each. 6 Simple Feng Shui Tips To Help You Make A Fresh Start

Your plants will grow bigger, and, symbolically you are creating more space for growth in your own life.
5. Revamp your front door.
You don’t need to paint a door red to make it feng shui-friendly, but a revamped front door will speak confidently to the world about your fresh start. Whether it's a new coat of paint, a bigger door handle, more polished or prominent apartment numbers or some creative adornment like a wreath or a doormat that represents your personality, a front door that shines is a great way to welcome in new energy and new people!

Nobel Prize winning physicists have proven beyond doubt that the physical world is one large sea of energy that flashes into and out of being in milliseconds, over and over again.
Nothing is solid.
This is the world of Quantum Physics.
They have proven that thoughts are what put together and hold together this ever-changing energy field into the ‘objects’ that we see.
So why do we see a person instead of a flashing cluster of energy?
Think of a movie reel.
A movie is a collection of about 24 frames a second. Each frame is separated by a gap. However, because of the speed at which one frame replaces another, our eyes get cheated into thinking that we see a continuous and moving picture.
A TV tube is simply a tube with heaps of electrons hitting the screen in a certain way, creating the illusion of form and motion.
This is what all objects are anyway. You have 5 physical senses (sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste).
Each of these senses has a specific spectrum (for example, a dog hears a different range of sound than you do; a snake sees a different spectrum of light than you do; and so on).
In other words, your set of senses perceives the sea of energy from a certain limited standpoint and makes up an image from that.
It is not complete, nor is it accurate. It is just an interpretation.
All of our interpretations are solely based on the ‘internal map’ of reality that we have, and not the real truth. Our ‘map’ is a result of our personal life’s collective experiences.
Our thoughts are linked to this invisible energy and they determine what the energy forms. Your thoughts literally shift the universe on a particle-by-particle basis to create your physical life.
Look around you.
Everything you see in our physical world started as an idea, an idea that grew as it was shared and expressed, until it grew enough into a physical object through a number of steps.
You literally become what you think about most.
Your life becomes what you have imagined and believed in most.
The world is literally your mirror, enabling you to experience in the physical plane what you hold as your truth … until you change it.
Quantum physics shows us that the world is not the hard and unchangeable thing it may appear to be. Instead, it is a very fluid place continuously built up using our individual and collective thoughts.
What we think is true is really an illusion, almost like a magic trick.
Fortunately we have begun to uncover the illusion and most importantly, how to change it.
What is your body made of?

What are those made up of?
Tissues and organs.

What are cells made of?
What are molecules made of?
What are atoms made of?
What are subatomic particles made of?
You and I are pure energy-light in its most beautiful and intelligent configuration. Energy that is constantly changing beneath the surface and you control it all with your powerful mind.
You are one big stellar and powerful Human Being.
If you could see yourself under a powerful electron microscope and conduct other experiments on yourself, you would see that you are made up of a cluster of ever-changing energy in the form of electrons, neutrons, photons and so on.
So is everything else around you. Quantum physics tells us that it is the act of observing an object that causes it to be there where and how we observe it.
An object does not exist independently of its observer! So, as you can see, your observation, your attention to something, and your intention, literally creates that thing.
This is scientific and proven.
Your world is made of spirit, mind and body.
Each of those three, spirit, mind and body, has a function that is unique to it and not shared with the other. What you see with your eyes and experience with your body is the physical world, which we shall call Body. Body is an effect, created by a cause.
This cause is Thought.
Body cannot create. It can only experience and be experienced … that is its unique function.
Thought cannot experience … it can only make up, create and interpret. It needs a world of relativity (the physical world, Body) to experience itself.
Spirit is All That Is, that which gives Life to Thought and Body.
Body has no power to create, although it gives the illusion of power to do so. This illusion is the cause of much frustration. Body is purely an effect and has no power to cause or create.
The key with all of this information is how do you learn to see the universe differently than you do now so that you can manifest everything you truly desire.

Just as letters, words and phrases carry vibrational information which transmutes out into our greater universe, so too does music. There may be no greater language with the power to break all universal vibrational communication boundaries than that of music.
Imprinted into the fabric of reality is a fluidity which at the underlying core is comprised of vibration. In this current band of reality we exist in, mediums such as color, geometry, tonality and sound, work to transmute this fluid like energy, often referred to as zero-point energy, ether, or ‘the source’, into our waking state. The act of syncopated drumming in particular is a most powerful way of drawing in this source energy into one’s mind through the creation of a repetitive pulse wave which draws in this energy into one’s individual consciousness, merging the individual mind with that of the universal mind.
In this way, instruments are photonic and vibratory transducers.
Music is Science
The field of Quantum Physics teaches that a foundational seed concept from which all other knowledge of our cosmic universe grows is that of String Theory. The notion of String Theory explains that, while our entire universe is made up of particles and their seemingly ever-unfolding plethora of sub-atomic singularities, it is only when these isolated singularities come together to form a string that intelligence is brought to life.
Whether we are examining the string of a Violin or a strand of our biologic DNA, what is found contained within is an intelligence that becomes born only after singular particles are exposed to photonic energy or photons of light, in combination with the pulse waves being emitted directly from the center of our galaxy. Contained within the frequency of cosmic light and the vibratory pulsation emanating from our galaxy’s core exists what very well may be “God’s code”. This becomes apparent when we see that just exposing our own naked skin to the complete spectrum of UV sunlight triggers over 3,000 DNA activations within our cellular biologic matrix; and this same principle goes for plants, which only after receiving photons of light and engaging in photosynthesis are capable of generating their own food, antioxidants, vitamins and phytochemicals, which we humans ingest as medicine.
It is only when isolated singularities come together to form a string that intelligence is brought to life.

In all indigenous cultures, the medicine man, otherwise known as the Shaman, incorporates music as an integral form of medicine for the community. In areas of the world where sunlight is abundant Shamans integrate their medicine of music with specific entheogenic Shamanic plants to maximize healing benefits. However, in areas of greater northern and southern longitudes where sunlight is sparse and plants are nearly devoid, Shamans rely solely on music as their form of spiritual medicine through the use of syncopated drumming.
In Amazonian Shamanism exists the practice of singing medicine songs called Icaros to the patients or recipients of the plant medicine being given. Within these Icaros themselves, medicine is directly transmuted to the recipients through the vibrational energetic power of the Shaman. Just like when working with crystal healing, where a gem or crystal is charged by sunlight and purified by water or sacred plant smoke, the crystal skeleton and blood of humans (which at its very nature is fluid crystalline water and crystalline bone) becomes charged by the Icaros of the Shaman. In combination with the purification of the medicinal plant smoke, this generates massive healing power within the recipient, if the shaman embodies benevolent intentions.

Researchers speculate that regular yoga practice helped people relax, making it easier to turn-off at night. Daily training aids in focusing the mind on stillness and will teach you how to consciously quiet your mind whenever you feel overwhelmed.
Regular exercise and healthy relaxation practices have been shown to benefit immunity, increasing our resistance against seasonal illness and harmful invaders. Yoga specifically has been shown to support the immune system, even after one session. One study showed that yoga practice helped to increase the expression of specific genes related to immune function. It’s also a great exercise for supporting immunity during the winter, as it can be done at home in your pajamas!
Improves Circulation and Breathing
The way we breathe can affect our overall health and well-being, but it isn’t something many of us even think about. Yogic asanas and breathing exercises facilitate blood flow to every single part of the body. The heart pumps oxygenated blood to every cell and simultaneously brings de-oxygenated blood back to the heart for oxygenation.
Improves Flexibility and Prevents Injuries
Yoga helps to improve flexibility and mobility, increasing range of movement and reducing aches and pains. Many people can’t touch their toes during their first yoga class. Over time however, the ligaments, tendons and muscles lengthen, increasing elasticity, making difficult poses possible. 7 SIMPLE WAYS TO BUILD GOOD KARMA
Karma is an ancient belief of Hindu and Buddhist origins that states essentially this: What you do in this life will effect what happens to you in future lives. You reap what you sow in this world. The Law of Karma also applies to circumstances that happen in this life as well.
When you start building good Karma, bad things slowly stop happening to you. Accidents are avoided, and circumstances start to line themselves up in your favour. Building good Karma is not at all hard, and doesn’t require much effort or time. All it requires is good intentions. Here are 7 simple ways to build good karma in your everyday life:
1) Call or text someone you care about
We typically only text or call someone we care about when we need something. However, getting into the habit of extending ourselves to others simply for the sake of being supportive is a great way to improve your mood, improve the mood of the person you are helping, and build good Karma for yourself.
2) When you know someone is hurting, reach out to them
Do you have a friend or relative who is dealing with illness or has gone through some recent trauma? Send a card, write a nice post about them on your social media or simply stop by with coffee or flowers. You may not realize it, but the smallest gestures could mean the world to someone. Just being there for someone energetically is good way to earn yourself a few extra Karma points.
3) Hold doors open, and let other people go first in traffic
Many of us get very competitive when we are out in public without even realizing it. Everyone is trying to get to where they are going first, and so often people cut each other off in traffic and let doors slam in other people’s faces. When we start to yield to other people, not only do we reduce tension in the world, but we also tend to be rewarded with good traffic patterns and good timing in return.
4) Say please and thank you
This is a simple one. Using proper manners and respecting other people goes a long way energetically. This is an easy way to build good Karma many times each day.
5) Be kind to the earth
Treat the earth, and all of the wonderful creatures it has given birth to, with respect and kindness. Being resourceful, refusing to participate in the violation of animal life and the destruction of the rain forests, and using products that are sustainable is a good way to show the Universe that you are on its team.
6) Play with children
Take 10 minutes out of your day to play with your neighbours kids that are running on your lawn. So many people ignore children, chastise them or complain about them. Children are the most innocent and curious beings on this planet. Taking time to give them attention, play with them, and show them love is important. After all, they are the future of this planet.
7) Be kind to the elderly
Similar to children, elderly people today are often overlooked. If we wish to be cared for as we age, we must help those who are transitioning into the later years of life. Strike up a conversation with the elderly man at the store, or help out an older woman who looks lost. Taking time out to give positive attention to older people is a great way to build Karma for yourself for your future.
There are of course many other ways to build good Karma, but the most important thing to take away from this is to make sure you are heart and intentions are in the right place. If you perform a good deed in hopes of good Karma, you are still acting selfishly. It’s only when we act selflessly that we can start receiving rewards from the Universe.

What Everyone Needs To Know About Their Chakras
Each of the seven chakras are governed by spiritual laws, principles of consciousness that we can use to cultivate greater harmony, happiness, and well-being in our lives and in the world.
The First Center: The Root Chakra
The root chakra, known in Sanskrit as muladhara, is located at the base of the spine. It governs your most basic survival needs. When this chakra is clear and energy flows through it freely, we feel secure and confident that we can easily fulfill our needs. However, blockage in this area can cause us to feel anxious and worried.
The spiritual Law of Karma governs the first energy center. On the physical plane, every action you perform results in a corresponding reaction. To maximize the possibility that your actions generate evolutionary reactions, you can use your body as a choice determining instrument.
Consider the possibilities in front of you and listen to signals from your body. These sensations generating from the root chakra are either comfortable or uncomfortable. Your body evaluates every possible decision in terms of its likelihood to meet your needs for safety or increase the level of threat you experience. The first chakra, which connects you with the earth, provides essential information as to the potential nourishment or toxicity that is available to you as a result of the actions you are taking.
The Second Center: Creativity Chakra
The creativity chakra, called svadhishtana, is associated with creativity in all its expressions. Located in the area of your sexual organs, the energy of this center can be used for biological reproduction. When channeled into higher energy centers, it fuels the creative force that enables you to paint a beautiful picture, build a business, or create a life of love and abundance.
The Law of Least Effort is lively in the second chakra. When your vital energy is flowing through your center of creativity, you co-create your life. The solution to every problem is rarely on the level of the problem. Rather, it comes from a deeper domain of creativity. Creativity is the process of taking the same raw material and creating different contexts and relationships between the components.
For example, when a composer creates a new piece of music, he is using the same notes in a new relationship with one another other, resulting in the emergence of something that did not exist before. The second chakra utilizes the raw material of the root chakra to create the world anew each day.
The Third Center: Energy Chakra
The energy chakra, manipura, is localized in your solar plexus. It’s the seat of your power in the world. When this center is open and flowing, you are capable of translating your intentions and desires into manifestation. When it is blocked, you feel frustrated and ineffectual.
The Law of Intention and Desire governs the third chakra. The seeds of intentions and desires reside in your personal soul. Nourishing the seeds you wish to germinate with your attention will lead to their full expression. It is important to be clear about your intentions so you are not surprised when they bear fruit.
The process of manifesting your desires is to first bring them into consciousness, followed by expanding your awareness through meditation, and finally releasing your intentions and detaching from the outcome. You can control your actions, however you cannot control the fruit of your actions. Keep your life energy flowing freely through your third chakra and the light and heat of your intentions will radiate on the world.
The Fourth Center: Heart Chakra
The heart chakra represents the unifying energy of love and compassion. Known as anahata, it is located at the center of the chest. The heart chakra is dedicated to overcoming separation and division. When the heart center is blocked, there is a sense of alienation from others. When the heart center is open and flowing, you feel connected at a deep level to all beings in your life.
The Law of Giving and Receiving governs the heart chakra. Love can take many different forms at different stages of life. The love of child for her mother is different than a mother’s love for her child. A friend’s love is different than that of a passionate lover or the love of a student for his teacher. However so, the common thread in each of these expressions of love is the impulse to unify—to overcome separation. This is the nature of the heart.
Every act of giving is simultaneously an act of receiving. Each time you welcome a gift into your life, you are providing the opportunity for someone to give. Just as a healthy physical heart receives blood from the periphery which it then oxygenates and pumps back out, your emotional heart stays healthy by receiving and giving love in all its forms.
The Fifth Center: Expression Chakra
The throat chakra, called visshuddha in Sanskrit, is the center of expression. When the fifth chakra is open and flowing, you have the confidence that you are capable of communicating your needs. When the fifth chakra is obstructed, a person will often feel that they are not being heard. In order to feel alive and empowered, it’s important that this energy center is clear. Blockages in this area are often associated with thyroid problems or chronic neck pain.
The Law of Detachment governs the throat chakra. An open fifth chakra enables you to express your truth without concern for censors or critics. This does not mean you say things that are intentionally hurtful or insensitive. On the contrary, people with open centers of communication are skillful in expressing their needs in ways that are life supporting. Anxiety over how people will react to your views does not arise when energy is flowing freely through the chakra of expression.
The Law of Detachment reminds you that you can choose your words and actions, but you cannot control the response to your words and action. When your intentions are clear, and your heart is open, you will spontaneously demonstrate right speech trusting that the universe will handle the details.
The Sixth Center: Intuition Chakra
The intuition chakra, known in Sanskrit as ajna, is located in the forehead. It is the center of insight and intuition. When this center is open, you have a deep sense of connection to your inner voice, and feel guided in your choices. When blocked, there is a sense of self-doubt and distrust. The opening of this chakra is usually associated with a clear sense of connection to ones dharma, or purpose in life.
The Law of Dharma or Cause and Effect governs the sixth chakra. You have within you a wise voice guiding you to express the highest aspects of your nature. Listen to this still inner voice, which is guiding you to manifest your full potential. Quiet the internal turbulence that is filled with the voices of others so you can identify the sound of your own soul. It has only one desire—for you to remember your essential nature as a spark of the divine.

The Seventh Center: Consciousness Chakra
The consciousness chakra, known as dahaswara, is visualized as a lotus flower at the crown of the head. When the lotus unfolds its petals, the memory of wholeness is restored. Remember that your essential nature is unbounded, and that you are spirit in disguise as a person. This is the full expression of yoga – the unification of being with action, of universality with individuality.
The Law of Pure Potentiality governs the seventh chakra. When your roots are receiving nourishment from the earth in the first chakra, your creative juices are flowing in the second, your intentions are empowered in the third, your heart is open and exchanging love with those around you in the fourth, you are spontaneously expressing your highest self in the fifth, you are in touch with your inner voice in the sixth, only then, does energy move into the crown chakra and you remember your essential nature as infinite and unbounded. The thousand-petaled lotus flower unfolds and you know yourself as a spiritual being temporarily localized to a body and mind.
The Yoga of Meditation The Upanishads tell us, “As great as the infinite space beyond is the space within the lotus of the heart.” From the time of your birth, you have been called to explore the world outside of you. Meditation is the exploration of your inner world. Yoga encourages you to be as familiar with your inner world of thoughts, feelings, memories, desires, and imagination as you are with the outer world. When you can move through both the inner and outer domains of life with freedom and joy, you fulfill the highest purpose of yoga.

How to Use Meditation to Help You Out of a Depressive State
We live in interesting times. On the exterior, we live in a vastly advanced society with impressive social structure and the ability to innovate. On the exterior, we have hundreds of differing medicines and procedures to help us deal with a myriad of physical ailments that could affect us. As they say, beauty is only skin deep.
Depression is a formidable opponent for millions. If left unchecked, depression can also lead to stress, illness, feelings of hopelessness, and feeling like there is no way out. Brain chemistry is also effected by depression.
From a neurological standpoint, most people effected by depression show reduced alpha activity in the frontal lobes. Alpha brainwaves are one of the most common brainwave patterns among those who meditate. This presents an opportunity for the advancements of our modern society to explain how you can use meditation to help bring you out of a depressive state.
It should be understood that meditation, although simple, has been proven to offer moderate relief in addressing psychological stress. If you are feeling depressed, you should consult your preferred healthcare practitioner. That being said, many medical professionals are now beginning to see more scientific proof that meditating can help with treating and preventing depression and “clinicians should be prepared to talk with their patients about the role that a meditation program could have in addressing psychological stress.” Because of the increase of proof backed by research in neuroscience and many published articles, it is hard for even the most trained of doctors to dismiss its benefits.
Knowing that meditating causes an increase in alpha brainwave activity and that those with depression show reduced alpha wave activity in the frontal lobes helps many to place belief in their meditative practice. Learning that it is a spiritual practice backed by scientific and medical research can help reduce our inner skeptic. Believing that meditation will help reduce your depression is the first and most important principle of practice. Through your belief in its methods and faith in its practice, many argue that intention alone can promote healing.
In order to use meditation to help bring you out of a depressive state, the first thing you must do is believe it will work. This trust in its purpose must come from your heart. This is a very important step. You need not know everything there is to know about it just yet, but you need to trust that it can and will work for you.
Once you have the desire to improve your mental health and mood with the aid of meditation, you need to simply start practicing. Find a time of day you can commit to for daily practice that will be easy to adhere to and will not cause stress. If you are stressed out finding time to meditate or a place you will not be disturbed, this can make it more difficult to enter meditation.
Because the alpha brainwave state is the goal and alpha is a state of relaxation, it is important that you be relaxed. Have fun with it – meditation is intended to be a pleasurable and relaxing practice. Don’t be afraid to jump in head first and have fun with it. Do not worry if at first you find it hard to clear your mind and relax. If you remember learning to ride a bike, you probably realize not all things are perfected on the first try. The results will come.
While meditating, visualizing is also an important tool. Close your eyes and relax while trying to picture what you perceive to be pleasurable. We all like different things. Not everyone wants to picture themselves on a beach. While visualizing, it is important to make it personal. What place would you love to visit? What activity might you enjoy doing? Have fun with your visualizations and be playful in their construction. In your mind, you have the ability to be at ease.
You can also mix sitting meditations with relaxation music to achieve good results. There are hundreds of options available when selecting music. This music does not always have to be soothing new age music. For starters, think about music you love that always makes you feel good or relaxed. Using meditation to bring you out of a depressive state is a very personal undertaking. Simply go with your intuition. Do whatever feels right and feels good for you. There are thousands of different types, all with volumes of research and resources.
From the formless meditation called Shikantaza to the more involved zen or mudra meditations, it is very possible to find a practice right for you. The most important thing is to start meditating with the intent of bringing you out of a depressing state. Believe in your goal and in your purpose. The type and the details of your perfect practice will then begin to unfold for you with less effort.
You may even find that solutions will come to you. Look for people, places, and circumstances that present an opportunity for you to learn to meditate, or a related practice. Meditation mixed with visualization, soothing music, and the belief in oneself can have a tremendous impact on depressive states.
Other forms of moving meditations such as Tai Chi, Yoga, or Qi Gong can greatly complement sitting meditation. These practices focus on a calm mind, relaxing the breath, fluid movements, good posture. These practices also teach how to discover and control the theorized life force of the human body. In most practices, this life force is called Chi. The confidence gained from learning how to control ones vital life energy and the grace that can come with these practices can help many individuals overcome depression by anchoring accomplishment.
Meditating also has no bad side effects or risks other than the possibility of falling asleep. In today’s fast paced world, most do not get enough sleep. I believe we could all use a little more rest and relaxation each week.

How Modern Symptom-Based Medicine Can Make the Sick, Sicker
The advancement of modern science and technology has allowed for ways of studying the incredibly small and the commensurably big. Technical capabilities for research make possibilities endless, but private funding means that our great scientists work in silos, answering to competitive economic interests. Sadly, the system as a whole has been forgotten.
Modern medicine has roots in the Hippocratic, Newtonian and Cartesian school of thought, also referred to as reductionism. Though this way of relating to the world, philosophers and scientists defined the universe as a great machine; a complex system that is nothing but the sum of its parts, an account of which can be reduced to accounts of its individual constituents (1). Likewise, early physicians began to define the human body as a machine, studying it by breaking it down into independent parts, losing touch with the study of the whole.
According to this paradigm, the body could be analyzed, catalogued, adjusted, and repaired in parts, as required — just like any other machine. Disease was no longer viewed as a body state (much less an energetic state) but merely as a set of symptoms. From this foundation, modern medicine has become the observation, classification and management of individual symptoms, without seeking to understand the body as an holistic entity (2). Meanwhile, rates of sickness, disease and over-medication are steadily increasing.
Consider the following…
You have clogged arteries, which causes your blood pressure to rise. Your doctor prescribes blood pressure medication to eliminate the symptom of high blood pressure – not the initial problem, which is clogged and hardened arteries.
To reduce blood pressure, doctors have four classes of medication in their arsenal:
Diuretics, which reduce pressure by dehydrating your body. Unfortunately, dehydration affects mind and body, causing imbalance and ageing. Side effects can include dizziness, weakness, an increased risk of strokes, and impotence. But do not worry, there are medications to alleviate these side effects.
Calcium channel blockers, which increased risk of heart attack by 60%.
Beta blockers, which work by weakening the heart so it won’t pump as strongly, thereby reducing blood pressure.
ACE inhibitors, which relax and widen the arteries. They can cause severe allergic reactions, can be deadly to fetuses and children who are breastfeeding, and can cause severe kidney damage.
But remember, these drugs only treat the symptom, not the cause – clogged arteries. Eventually, your arteries continue to clog to the point where even the medication no longer helps. At that point, your doctor is then forced to perform a coronary bypass or angioplasty to unclog heart arteries. Again, the surgery merely addresses the symptoms, not the problem.
After the surgery and the cocktail of drugs involved, your arteries supplying blood to your heart are clear. But what about other arteries such as the ones supplying blood to your brain? In fact, the odds of having a stroke after heart surgery are dramatically increased. To reduce stroke odds, your doctor prescribes you another medication, which inhibits clotting by thinning your blood. Of course, this new drug has its own set of side-effects, so you need extra medication to cover these, too. And don’t forget that you are still on all of the previous blood-pressure drugs and symptom-relieving drugs that your doctor previously prescribed.
Although this is just one example of modern medicine making the sick, sicker, today this spiralling cycle of pharmaceutical over-medication is all too common. The average person 65 years or older in the United States takes an average of 15+ medications a day, each and every day of their lives. And only the first 1 or 2 drugs are actually prescribed to deal with the original symptoms. The other 13+ drugs are all required to deal with the negative side effects of the original two, plus the effects from the interactions of all the other drugs they are taking.
The really sad fact is: in over 95% of all cases, the original problem could have been resolved naturally — with no side effects. (3)
Health as a way of life
There are no “magic bullets” when it comes to achieving good health. Good health is the result of making right decisions, day after beautiful day. (4)
The human body is designed to maintain good health, and properly supported, one way it does this is by constantly gathering and removing toxins from its cells and organs. With the unprecedented levels of toxicity we are exposed to each day, helping the body’s natural detox processes should be more than an occasional cleansing diet – it should be a way of life.
Focus on cleansing and detoxifying your body, inside and outside. Get rid of the toxins that are hanging around in your intestines, clogging your arteries, wearing out your organs.
Learn to avoid toxicity in everything possible – from food, beauty products, air, water, household cleaners, emotions, and thoughts.
Finally, nourish your body with good, clean, whole food and give your body nutrient-dense foods, hydration, exercise, positive thoughts, actions, and activities.

What is Enlightenment?

Many of you are looking for what you call happiness. When I ask my clients or people in general to define what would make them happy they give me a list of things. Not just material items but many other ‘things’ like love, family, peace etc..
In all cases there is something to attain.
Let me tell you; There is nothing to attain. There is only stuff to discard. That leaves you in your enlightened state. Here is where you will find what you call happiness.
Being a life coach I make a business of helping you achieve happiness and what you want from your life.
Why can the words I write change your life?
Why can I sit and talk with you and change your life for the better?
Why is it that I can help others with their life?
I’ll give you the answer later in the article.

Perhaps just talk about enlightenment, most people say, “wait a minute, how the hell does that help me pay the bills?” and “don’t give me any of that religious crap.” There are many good reasons to seek enlightenment but before I discuss the practical applications, what is enlightenment?
So what is Enlightenment?
Enlightenment is an ideal state of being that can be achieved via an ongoing process. It is the process of allowing more light, or the maximum amount of consciousness to shine through your physical being.
Let me explain it another way. When you are enlightened you are liberated from the physical world. That means;
1. You have the ability to witness your thought process.
Your thoughts create your future physical reality. You currently identify with your thoughts. You live your life inside your thought processes and don’t realize that your thoughts are separate to you. The vast majority of your thinking is conducted without you being aware of what is being thought. You ride these thoughts to fruition, often to your detriment. When you are enlightened, you free yourself from being swept up in your thinking process and therefore liberate yourself from any result that is not your choice.
2. You are free from suffering
You currently suffer every time you wrestle with emotion, argue about something or agonize over a decision. Sometimes this is short lived and mild and at other times it is extremely painful and remains with you for a long period of time. When you are free from suffering you will however still say something colorful when you stub your toe!
3. You are free of desire.
Desire means you are unsatisfied and in this state your wants are driven by emotion. Without desire you can still have, but your want is much closer to a preference. When you experience this you will understand freedom from the material world. This doesn’t mean you can’t have or pursue chocolate cake. It just means you don’t lust it and you are unaffected if you don’t get it.
4. You can see the truth.
The truth is the way that the world really is. Being able to see the truth means you see beyond the physical shell of others. You see who they really are. It means you can read between the lines and really hear what others are saying.
Some people know the process of looking for enlightenment as “The search for the Holy Grail” However you do not find enlightenment. It is achieved by removing its obstacles. These obstacles are inside you and are created by your mind.
Notice how there is nothing said about religion. Notice also how there is no mention of morals and what you can and can’t do. Good, now you can find out just how it helps.
What does Enlightenment do for you?
Here are some practical examples.
I saw a father shout and get angry at his three or four year old son. This had a negative impact on the boy. Why did it happen? The father was last on a bus and there were no seats left. Before the bus could depart from the airplane to the terminal the man had to be seated. Everyone was watching and waiting for him. The logical conclusion was for his son to sit on his knee. This didn’t register on the boy as he was too young to see what was going on. The father got very upset and angry and started yelling at the boy to get up. The boy was momentarily paralyzed at the sight of his fathers anger, which in the boys mind was for no reason. This made his father less patient and more angry, finally dragging the boy off his seat so he could sit down.
This sort of situation is a frequent occurrence. This doesn’t occur when you are in the process of enlightenment. You are able to remain calm in all situations. Anger doesn’t exist.
A sales person listens to his client and then fulfills a need or finds a solution in order to complete the sale. The key here is listening.
What happens in real life is that someone talks and you hear part of what they say. This is because as they talk your mind momentarily wanders and thinks in response to what they are saying. You may miss actual words in the conversation but more importantly you will miss the true meaning of what’s being said or implied by the words that come from your clients mouth.
You do not have the ability to clearly read between the lines. When you are enlightened you are able to listen completely and to see clearly what is being said.
Here is another way of looking at it. You are shopping for some new clothes along the most fashionable shopping strip in your city. The path ahead is filled with shop windows displaying anything and everything. As you walk, you daydream. As you daydream you are inside your thoughts and can’t see the shops. You step past each shop, unaware of what it contains. Every now and again you are aware of a shop, enter it and buy something that you like. However you don’t know what you missed in each of the shop windows that you walked past whilst daydreaming. Everything you missed in your shopping spree represents an opportunity in life that you didn’t see.
When you are enlightened you can see the world with clarity. You get to choose what you want.
So why do I have the ability to help you? Simply because I am enlightened. Yes, just like the guys you hear about in India that sit around in their robes and share their wisdom and heal the sick. Yes, just like Buddha and Jesus were enlightened. Am I comparing myself to Buddha or Jesus? No, not at all, I am simply Aymen. Does it mean that I am a spiritual scholar? No. Does it mean I am better than you? No. It just means that my level of consciousness has been raised to a certain state. In this state I can help you raise your consciousness. I do this mostly by transmitting energy in the form of idea’s and words.

OM: What Is It & Why Do We Chant It?
OM has Vibration, that is traditionally chanted at the beginning and end of yoga sessions. Coming from Hinduism and Yoga, the mantra is considered to have high spiritual and creative power but despite this, it is a mantra that can be recited by anyone. It’s both a sound and a symbol rich in meaning and depth and when pronounced correctly it is actually AUM.
Aum actually consists of four syllables: A, U, M, and the silent syllable.
The first syllable is A, pronounced as a prolonged "awe." The sound starts at the back of your throat and you stretch it out. You will start feeling your solar plexus and chest vibrating.
The second syllable is U, pronounced as a prolonged “oo,” with the sound gradually rolling forward along your upper palate. You'll feel your throat vibrate.
The third syllable is M, pronounced as a prolonged “mmmm” with your front teeth gently touching. You will now start to feel the top of your vibrate.
The last syllable is the deep silence of the Infinite. As intelligence rises from the deep silence, you have to merge your chant from the ‘M’ to the deep silence.
Symbolically the three letters embody the divine energy (Shakti) and it’s 3 main characteristics: (1) creation, (2) preservation and (3) liberation.
Why do we chant it?
Everything in the universe is pulsating and vibrating – nothing is really standing still! The sound Om, when chanted, vibrates at the frequency of 432 Hz, which is the same vibrational frequency found throughout everything in nature.
As such AUM is the basic sound of the universe; so by chanting it we are symbolically and physically tuning in to that sound and acknowledging our connection to all other living beings, nature and the universe.
In addition the vibrations and rhythmic pronunciation also have a physical affect on the body by slowing down the nervous system and calming the mind similar to meditation. When the mind is relaxed, your blood pressure decreases and ultimately the health of your heart improves.
Finally it is also a way to delineate the time of our practice from the rest of our day and signify that this is a special time in which to care for ourselves and practice being mindful.

How to Induce Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming has become immensely popular over the past few years, and for some good reasons! The idea of ‘emerging into the new paradigm’ translates into the sharing of new ideas that were once deemed too taboo. There is an underlying desire of forward, transforming motion wanted by the whole planet. One of the ways we can explore this shift is through the perspective of dreams. The astral plane exists right here, intertwined with the third dimension on a slightly higher frequency. This means time is not linear and manifestation is instant with the use of intent! You can exist everywhere and no where all at once, you can experience the oneness of all that is.
There are a bunch of techniques that can help you induce this state. It’s easier for me to start lucid dreaming after I’ve fallen asleep, as to skip the sleep paralysis step.
Lay on your back and relax
Focus on your breathing and observe the darkness of your closed eyelids. For a lot of people, it isn’t just blackness they see, its endless static of energy all subtlety buzzing around. When I find the center point of my vision, I can make the flat image of darkness look like a 3D room with a lot of depth to it. If I can focus on that without completely falling asleep, I can slip into lucid dreaming.
Sleep paralysis kicks in once I’m relaxed enough – and the feeling of it usually forces me back awake. I can feel an immense pressure in the centre of my stomach that pulls me down. It feels like there’s so much pressure I can’t breathe and I usually turn my head to the side and wake up. It’s always scary and uncomfortable – I’m still learning how to fully get through it.
If I’m able to – the merging into the astrals hits me like a brick wall. An image starts out as a tiny dot in the center of my vision then rushes into me and I plunge into a different world. It’s literally like being thrown into a portal.
The first thing I ALWAYS do as soon as I realize I’m lucid is put my face right up to the ground! I look at the crazy details of the pavement or grass and take in how real it is. The astrals are as physical as here if we were to fully align our energy with it.
The one thing that brings me out of a lucid dream is doubt. If I’m flying, after awhile I’ll start to question if I can really do it. In the moment, it makes sense to manifest something to fly with that helps me, and for some reason a plastic bag does the job. It reassures me what I’m doing is possible, but if the doubt remains present then I’ve lost control. I’m scared to fall and feel pain while lucid because I don’t fully believe that I control it. A good thing to do is to spin around and take in the entirety of your surroundings. The more you see and believe it, the more your confidence will rise. I also like to look at my hands and body to confirm I’m really experiencing it – although I’ve never remembered to look at myself in the mirror.
Writing every dream down, even if its not lucid, helps you dream each night! Going over your past dreams just before you go to sleep helps refresh and focus the feeling of being lucid. When I read my old dream descriptions, a flood of memories and images come back like I had JUST had that dream. It keeps those experiences alive!
To successfully induce lucid dreaming takes practice, and the progression of surpassing our fears. Fear of the unknown is the main reason we are unable to fully experience lucid dreams. When we see the value of the connection between us all, we can interact on the astral dimension! We can create ANYTHING in a space of all knowing, all loving energy. Imagine hanging out with everyone you know, seeing past their physical being and loving them, for they are you. This all becomes very clear when we can exist in a higher frequency together.

Deep breathing exercises can be done on a daily basis. Take 15 minutes to half an hour when you first get up in the morning to do deep breathing exercises and see how you feel. Did you know, most western people are shallow breathers.
A result of shallow breathing is less oxygen is being circulated around the body. Shallow breathers have more illnesses and have a shorter life span.
An example of a deep breathing exercise is - breath deeply down into your body for three seconds through your nose, hold for three seconds, then breath out for three seconds out of your nose or mouth. Continue doing this for 15 minutes to 30 minutes each day. As you get used to doing this, change it from three seconds to seven seconds. As you get used to doing this, change it from seven seconds to fourteen seconds. But only hold the breath for three seconds each time. You can keep going up in multiplies of seven. But only hold the breath for three seconds each time.

THE LOCATIONS OF EARTHS 7 CHAKRA POINTS
When I decided to approach the topic of the earth’s chakra points and write a piece about it, I believed it was going to be a very straightforward piece with clear-cut information and I found that assumption quite wrong. There are a few schools of thought about where the chakra points are located on the earth and how the entire ley-line system works as a whole.
The basic concept is that as the macrocosmic mirror to the human microcosm of the chakra system in the body, the earth, as a living being, possesses active energy centers that are consecutively aligned based on perspectives of consciousness, earth-organ equivalents, and vibrational states and exist in different sacred locations throughout the earth.
The most common way of looking at this concept from what I have found in my research is by overlaying a basic outline of the infinity symbol over the chakras4outstretched flat image of the world map; deriving from this basic geometry comes the more complex lines of connection between major vortex points and earth chakras which are the ley lines or song lines.
These would be akin to the energy meridian, acupuncture points, and nadis in the human body which are more numerous and secondary channels of energy that work in concert with the major centers of the chakras to disperse or circulate that energy.
Therefore, in the most popular viewpoint on earth chakras, each point is a super-powered point on the earth that serves as a central place of focus for the perspective of that chakra- for instance the heart chakra center on earth regulates the flow of energies on earth that allow the earth and its inhabitants to experience and relate through unconditional love and compassion whereas the root chakra of the earth would resonate with energies of life force itself, will to live, genesis, and so on. I found two differing ideas about where these specific locations were, yet interestingly both sets of points involve mostly the same locations on earth, except rearranged. Here are those two systems:
Robert Coon’s Earth Chakras System
Nearly all of the information readily available online that I was able to find regarding the earth’s chakra points seemed to be directly sourced from this one author- Robert Coon who owns a website called earthchakras.org. This site is fascinating and offers very in depth information about the chakras of the earth, the earth’s elemental vortices, ley lines and much more. Whether you take this information as theory or fact, it is fascinating food for though. In the system provided by Coon, the earth’s chakra points would be located throughout the earth as follows:
Root (1st) Chakra- Mt. Shasta, California. Red; Raw biological life force energy- precursor to deviation into individual life forms.
Sacral (2nd) Chakra- Lake Titicaca Peru (but also includes Machu Picchu). Orange; Creation of new species and positive evolution. Specification of pure life force into individuals.
Solar Plexus (3rd) Chakra- Uluru and Kata Tjuta Australia (twin monolithic sites). Golden/Yellow; Maintenance of the vitality of earth and all of its species. Immortalization of life force.
Heart (4th) Chakra- Glastonbury and Shaftesbury, England. Green/Pink; Representing the Holy Grail and the Sacred Spear of Purpose, Respectively.
Throat (5th) Chakra- Great Pyramid, Mt. Sinai, and Mt. of Olives, Middle East. Blue; Voice of the earth emerging, listening to the will of the earth needs to be mastered
Third Eye (6th) Chakra- Mobile Chakra, Shifts every 150-200 years, currently coincides with world heart chakra in Western Europe. Purple/Indigo; Moves 1/12th of the way around the world, westward, at the dawning of every new aeon. Distills gathered wisdom of life on earth for collective advancement of consciousness, aligned with astrological sequences.
Crown (7th) Chakra- Mt. Kailas, Himalayan Mountains, Tibet. White; Broadcasts the earth’s purpose or true will.
Reflecting on the Robert Coon System:
In the diagram above you can see a visual representation of the locations of earth’s chakra points as given by Robert Coon. Does anything visually strike you as a bit curious about this particular layout? I noticed that with this system the arrangement of the chakras seems to be quite random in the sense that there is no recognizable geometric reason to the way the chakra points are aligned. They seem scattered. This is bothersome because everything in creation flows geometrically within certain mathematic ratios and symmetries. The chakras in the human body are more or less equidistant from one another in a straight line going vertically up and down the spine as it moves through the center of the body. I feel that this one reason detracts a bit from the strength of this particular theory. It seems counterintuitive that the energy grid of the earth would be geometrically precise with the chakra points peppered randomly throughout.
Version 2 of the Ley Line System
I found that the other school of thought out there on this same system of thinking featured basically the same locations but some of them were attributed to different chakras than the system briefly described above. In this secondary explanation the Root chakra is found in Uluru Australia, the Sacral chakra is located in Lake Titicaca Peru also, the Solar Plexus is found in Mt. Fuji, Japan, the Heart chakra is in Haleakala Hawaii, the Throat Chakra is in Glastonbury England, the Third Eye chakra currently resides in The Himalayan Mountains, and the Crown Chakra, rather than the root chakra, is based in Mt. Shasta, California. This system was described by Bridget Nielson of HarmoniousEarth.org who visited all these sacred sites for self-exploration and –confirmation. This perspective on the location of the chakras was also apparently re-confirmed by the well-known teacher of metaphysics, Bashar, as channeled by Darryl Anka. So which is it? They are both very compelling systems.
An Alternative Earth Chakra Theory
In my research I came across one last theory about where the chakra points reside and why. This one is much less widespread, but perhaps more logically satisfying and equally compelling. It is based on a direct comparison to the human energy system. There exists a toroidal field of energy around/interpenetrating the human form which pulls in and sends out energy in a self-sustaining current. In the middle of this energy field dynamic there is the central energy channel, along which the 7 main chakras are positioned vertically. Taking this layout and superimposing it on a spread-out map of the earth, based on the polarities of the north and south poles, this would put bands of color in correlation to the chakras striped from bottom to top going up the map in horizontal bands.
Within each horizontal color/chakra band, the geographical zones within it would be considered to fall under the resident chakra color in that location. In other words it creates a map of chakra zones as opposed to acute concentrated points. So it would roughly break down like this:
Russia would be the better part of the Root chakra/Sacral zone, parts of the Sacral and the Solar Plexus would mostly include the US, China, and Europe and the Middle East. The zones near the Equator would be the Heart chakra and would potentially include parts of India, a lot of Africa, Colombia, Peru and much of South and Central America and probably Hawaii. The Throat chakra zone would be South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and finally then the Third Eye territory and Crown Chakra areas would be the least populated and coldest areas like Antarctica and Greenland.
Just as the earth is laced with a complex interconnected map of energy lines, invisible to the naked eye, the pieces of information from various sources on the earth’s chakras are lighting up some intriguing connections that only add to the mystery.
For instance, with the first two earth-chakra theories discussed above, we saw that many of the same locations were included in both line-ups, yet as mentioned, they were arranged differently in each one. What I found to be of particular interest was that in only one of those systems was Hawaii included at all as an actual chakra point. Yet when I dove a little deeper into the Robert Coon material I found myself swimming in the depths of even more interesting insights.
Coon shares in his essays that the earth’s ley-line or energy grid system includes not only the chakra points but also a whole system of vortexes as well. According to Coon, there are 4 major vortexes, similar to the chakra points in potency or significance. These four vortexes regulate or energize the four elements of life on our planet- earth, fire, water, and air, and guess what one of those locations is? Haleakala, Hawaii, the power point that was included in the other chakra list. Could it be that Haleakala is an undeniable power point of some kind that is perhaps being misinterpreted by one school of thought or one that is simply serving multiple purposes?
Certain other pieces of information regarding chakras and how they relate to consciousness also revealed interesting synchronicities. In the alternative earth chakra theory that I discussed last, the third chakra band contained a major percentage of earth’s current population and the countries and people groups found in the band were the US, China, much of Europe, and possibly the Middle East (keeping in mind that this particular theory is formative and it’s respective zones are approximations).
The connection here is that the third chakra is one of the chakras grouped into the lower three centers of consciousness in the chakra system of the human body. Lower meaning that they are physical body chakras governing primarily earth experience functions. The third chakra is the chakra of activity, opinion, intellect and the mental body. What could better describe the level of consciousness of these industrial nations? Think of the US, China, Europe: primarily male/yang, emotionally immature, caught in dogma and competition, thinking more than feeling, highly political, aggressive, and industrial- very third chakra.
It has also been written by clairvoyants that often the dominant color of the auric fields of Americans is yellow, the color of the sacral chakra. The indication being that a person experiencing life through the perspective of the third chakra is a person ‘living in their head’.
It also seems very fitting that the heart chakra band would include most of Africa, much of Central and South America and also perhaps Hawaii. The people and cultures native to these places, in general, feel more generous, earth- connected, and humble as a cultural norm than the people living in the cultures found in the sacral band.
Which Theory is Correct?
Which theory is the correct one? I truly can’t say. There is no consensus and nor is there any clear scientific treatment of this topic to help sort it out. It seems that each theory has some definite validity to it, or perhaps each one is completely valid in and of itself, but also an integral component to a complete idea that has not yet come together fully in a cohesive way. Perhaps also the constant shifting that is reportedly happening with earth’s magnetic fields and the poles could be causing confusion and affecting these dynamics.
In conclusion, I do not feel that there is any clear cut conclusion at this point. Rather it would seem that the significance to be taken from this discussion is the need to feel deeply into the energetic nature of the earth as living conscious being and to observe ourselves as microcosmic reflections of the great planetary body of which we are an expression. It would only make sense that if we operate from an energetic chakra system that is orderly, dynamic, and harmonic in nature, then the larger planetary body of which we are a part would form the greater basis that regulates such a system.
We can focus into and bring into resonance any of the chakra bodies from any point on the planet; this is a matter of clear intention. However, for those deeply drawn to or intrigued by one or all of these power points on the earth, there is certainly a great depth of mystery still waiting to be explored.
